My passion for construction dawned at an early age. Growing up in small town in South Carolina, afforded me ample time for constructing tree forts and converting old barns into neighborhood hang outs. After earning a degree in business from Newberry College, I relocated to Charleston and began a career in banking. While appreciating all the avenues of finance in which managing a bank provided, a desire for the construction field still lingered. 

 

In 2002, I left banking and began building homes in small developments in the Charleston area. The opportunities expanded and several customers approached me to supervise their custom residential homes. It was in designing high quality custom homes where my energies and talents were sparked. Overseeing the detail of fine craftsmanship along with facilitating others to see their dreams come true stirred me to begin Askins Construction in 2002. Since its conception, Askins Construction has offered the finest quality of custom-built homes in the greater Charleston area: Charleston, Daniel Island, Sullivan’s Island, Isle of Palms and Awendaw.  

 

Whether it is in the challenge of designing a quality dream home for families or offering practical consultations in providing more efficient renovations to existing structures, customer satisfaction has become my lifelong pursuit. I am licensed in both residential and commercial construction.
